Paolo Pierobon (born January 13, 1967) is an Italian actor, best know for the role of Filippo De Silva in Squadra antimafia - Palermo oggi.

He portrays Rick De Ponte in Come diventare grandi nonostante i genitori.

Life and Career[]

Theater[]

After graduation at high school, he dedicates to theater and in 1992 he graduates from the Municipal School of Dramatic Art Paolo Grassi.

His theatrical activity is intense and in 2004 he get the National Critics Association award for best new actor to Italian shows in Samuel Beckett's Endgame (directed by Lorenzo Loris) and Accidental Death of an Anarchist by Dario Fo (directed by Ferdinando Bruni and Elio De Capitani).

In 2008 he plays the role of Levin from Tolstoy's Anna Karenina in the important show of the Lithuanian director Eimuntas Nekrošius and wins the Ubu Prize as best supporting actor.

In 2009, he with the director Elio De Capitani, will play a violent, but poignant Ian in Blasted by Sarah Kane.

In the summer of 2009 is directed by Luca Ronconi at the Spoleto Festival in an original version of The Seagull by Chekhov, where he plays the writer Trigorin.

In the 2011 - 2012 season he is the protagonist in four shows directed by Luca Ronconi: La compagnia degli uomini in the role of Bartley; Nora alla prova in the role of Torvald; Modesty in the role of Smederovo; Santa Giovanna dei Macelli in the role of Mauler.

From 2013 to 2015 he is involved in several plays directed by Luca Ronconi: Panic by Rafael Spregelburd, Pornography by Witold Gombrowicz, Celestina by Michel Garneau and Lehman Trilogy by Stefano Massini.

In 2016, he plays Maximilien de Robespierre in Danton's Death by Georg Büchner, directed by Mario Martone.

Cinema[]

He debuts in 1998 in Pompeo, a medium-length movie by Paolo Vari and Antonio Bocola.

The following year he stars with Sandra Ceccarelli in Guarda il cielo (Stella, Sonia, Silvia) by Piergiorgio Gay.

In 2005 in Come l'ombra by Marina Spada plays a Russian professor.

He participates in several Federico Rizzo's movies including Lievi crepe sul muro di cinta in 2003, where he plays the protagonist, and Fuga dal call center in 2008, in a hilarious cameo. That same year, in Vincere, directed by Marco Bellocchio, he plays the fascist Bernardi.

In 2010 plays Victor in Il mio domani by Marina Spada, and in 2012, he plays in a role of a pusher in Linea Gotica.

In 2014 is David's uncle in the award-winning movie by Paolo Virzi, Human Capital

In 2016 plays Rick De Ponte in Come diventare grandi nonostante i genitori by Luca Lucini.

Television[]

From 2004 to 2005, he is present in some episodes of the second season of Camera Café.

In 2009 he plays the Farinacci lawyer in Lo smemorato di Collegno.

From 2010 to 2016 is one of the protagonists of the drama Squadra antimafia - Palermo oggi in the role of Filippo De Silva.
